Dr. Joseph Martinez Joins Florida’s Memorial Healthcare System’s Neuroscience Center

Joseph Martinez, MD, has joined the division of neurosurgery at Memorial Healthcare System’s Neuroscience Center in southwest Florida, according to a Hollywood Gazette report.

Dr. Martinez is fellowship trained in complex spine surgery with a focus on spinal cords. He will be part of the Memorial Trauma Center.

In the past, Dr. Martinez has conducted research through M.D. Anderson Cancer Center regarding pre-operative predictions of the postoperative survival duration for patients undergoing surgery for spinal metastases. He has presented research before the American Society of Hematology and the Minorities in Cancer Research Council.
