J. Rafe Sales, MD, performed back surgery on Zac McGraw, a defender for the Portland Timbers.
Dr. Sales operated on Mr. McGraw’s lumbar spine on Feb. 6 in Portland, Ore., according to a Feb. 6 news release from the Timbers.
The timeline for Mr. McGraw’s return is about four months.
Dr. Sales is a spine surgeon of Summit Spine in Portland, Ore. In addition, he serves as the medical director of spine surgery for Providence Health System in Oregon.
