Dr. Deepak Reddy performs first solo SynerFuse procedure

Deepak Reddy, MD, of South Bend (Ind.) Orthopedics completed the first solo SynerFuse procedure.

SynerFuse combines spinal fusion with neuromodulation to eliminate the need for opioids after surgery. Dr. Reddy performed the milestone case July 28 at Unity Physicians Hospital in Mishawaka, Ind., according to an Aug. 8 news release shared with Becker’s.

Dr. Reddy’s case is the 12th completed and the first done outside of Minnesota. He and Rohan Lall, MD, are studying its safety for a clinical trial.
