92-year-old has endoscopic spine surgery in India

A private hospital in India treated a 92-year-old woman with endoscopic spine surgery, according to a Dec. 21 report from Tribune India.

Badrinath surgeon Sudershan Sharma, MD, said the technique isn’t available in North India, except for Delhi, the report said. Endoscopic spine surgery is minimally invasive with no stitches and minimum care after surgery.
