4 surgeons who have performed spine procedures on professional athletes this year

From professional wrestlers to MLB players, several athletes have undergone spinal procedures so far in 2023. Here are four surgeons who have operated on professional athletes this year:

1. Andrew Cordover, MD, performed a one-level cervical spine fusion on World Wrestling Entertainment star Adam Scherr. He also performed a spine surgery on WWE’s Robert Roode. 

2. Spine surgeon Michael Duffy, MD, performed a microdiscectomy on professional golfer Will Zalatoris. 

3. Robert Watkins, MD, performed surgery to repair a lower back disc on San Francisco Giants’  baseball player Luis González. 

4. Neurosurgeon Chad Prusmack, MD, performed back surgery on Mark Stone, a winger for the Vegas Golden Knights in the National Hockey League.
