Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Mitchell Johnson of Orthopedic Institute Sioux Falls

Mitchell C. Johnson, DO, is a board-certified orthopedic spine surgeon at Orthopedic Institute Sioux Falls (S.D.).

Dr. Johnson specializes in neck and back pain. He received his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Mo., and underwent spine surgery fellowship training at the Texas Back Institute in Plano.

Dr. Johnson worked as a chiropractor for seven years before becoming an orthopedic surgeon. He is affiliated with Sioux Falls-based Avera McKennan Hospital and Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls.
