Prior to joining the Mount Sinai Medical Center, Dr. Neuwirth served as chief of spinal surgery at the Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York City. Dr. Neuwirth is also the author of The Scoliosis Handbook, a guide to educating teenagers and adults with scoliosis.
Dr. Neuwirth is a member of the North American Spine Society and Scoliosis Research Society. He has been selected by Castle and Connolly Top Doctors for the New York Metropolitan Area for spine surgery for the past 10 years.
After earning his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center in New York City, Dr. Neuwirth completed his residency at the Hospital for Joint Disease. Dr. Neuwirth is also fellowship trained from Chicago-based Rush Medical College.
