Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Gregory Heuer of Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia

Gregory Heuer, MD, PhD, is an attending neurosurgeon at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Dr. Heuer specializes in pediatric brain and spine tumor surgery, congenital spinal disorders, hydrocephalus and complex spinal deformity. He received his medical degree and PhD in cell and molecular biology from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Dr. Heuer underwent pediatric neurosurgery fellowship training at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

He is interested in functional neurosurgery and the diagnosis and treatment of neurologic disease before birth. Dr. Heuer has published several peer-reviewed scientific articles.
