Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Woosik Chung of Denver International Spine Center

Woosik Chung, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic spine surgeon at Denver International Spine Center at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center.

Dr. Chung is the director of spine surgery at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center. He focuses on degenerative spine disorders including complex scoliosis deformities, particularly disorders of the neck and cervical spine as well as revision failed spine surgery. He treats spinal disorders in athletes, degenerative arthritic spines, spinal tumors, spinal infections and trauma.

Dr. Chung received his medical degree from the New Jersey Medical School in Newark. He underwent orthopedic spine surgery fellowship training at the Emory University Spine Center in Atlanta.

In his spare time, Dr. Chung enjoys practicing martial arts, snowboarding, bicycling and running. He has been featured in People and was interviewed by Diane Sawyer on Good Morning America.
