Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Donald Quest of Neurological Institute of New York

Donald O. Quest, MD, is a board-certified neurosurgeon serving patients at Neurological Institute of New York and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center, both in New York City. He is also an assistant dean of students and the J. Lawrence Pool Professor of Clinical Neurological Surgery at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City.

He specializes in cervical spine diseases and disorders, lumbar spine disorders and herniated discs.

 

Dr. Quest previously served as director, secretary and chairman of the American Board of Neurological Surgeons. He also served as chairman of the Residency Review Committee for Neurological Surgery. Dr. Quest previously was president of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and American Association of Neurological Surgeons.

 

After obtaining his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, Dr. Quest completed his residencies at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center and Boston-based Massachusetts General Hospital.
