Dr. Raiszadeh is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and has a professional interest in complex spinal reconstruction including scoliosis, kyphosis, fractures and cervical reconstruction. He also has a special interest in spinal instrumentation and has submitted patents for minimally invasive and motion sparing devices.
Dr. Raiszadeh is the founder of SpineZone, a medically based spine strengthening program. He is also actively involved in humanitarian efforts and is the founder of the Spine Humanitarian and Research Education foundation, which is devoted to providing charitable care and advancing the science of spine care across the world.
“I have a conservative philosophy with regard to surgery. Surgery is advised only when all non-surgical methods have proven futile, and where there is a reasonable expectation that surgery will improve the patients’ outcome,” said Dr. Raiszadeh, according to the Spine Institute of San Diego website.
Dr. Raiszadeh earned his medical degree at the University of CaliforniaSan Francisco and completed his orthopedic residency at UC Davis. He has also completed an adult and pediatric spine surgery fellowship at the Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York.
