Board-certified neurosurgeon Khalid Kurtom, MD, serves at Chesapeake Neurological Surgery in Easton, Md. He also serves patients at University of Maryland Shore Regional Health, and practices at University of Maryland Shore Medical Centers in Dorchester and Easton. Dr. Kurtom is also a clinical assistant professor in the University of Maryland School of Medicine's neurosurgery department.
Specializing in the treatment of primary and metastatic brain, spinal cord and pituitary tumors, Dr. Kurtom also treats cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine issues, peripheral nerve disease, hydrocephalus and head injuries.
Dr. Kurtom is a member of the American Academy of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons and North American Spine Society, among many other organizations.
After earning his medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C., Dr. Kurtom completed a general surgery internship and neurosurgery residency at the same institution. He then completed a neurosurgery clinical fellowship at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders & Stroke in Washington, D.C.
