Zimmer to Close Austin Device Plant in July

Medical device manufacturer Zimmer plans to close its Austin, Texas, facility by the end of July in an effort to streamline business, according to Mass Device.

The Austin facility employs 100 people. Some may be able to relocate to Minneapolis, but others may be at risk for layoffs, according to the report.
