Zimmer Sues Supplier for Relocating Production

Zimmer is suing its supplier for moving production out of Switzerland, which could cost the orthopedic medical device maker millions in lost sales, according to the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette.

Zimmer is suing Greatbatch Medical for unspecified damages. The company argues Greatbatch’s plan to move production from Switzerland to Fort Wayne, Ind., and Tijuana, Mexico, by the beginning of the year will be a major supply chain disruption.
