Here are four highlights:

 

1. The company unveiled the Rapid Recovery program in 1997 to support healthcare providers as they focused on boosting quality and lowering costs.

 

2. An evidence-based program, Rapid Recovery is designed for primary hip and knee arthroplasty, outpatient arthroplasty surgery, fragility hip fracture treatment, sports medicine procedures, spine interventions and shoulder arthroplasty.

 

3. The program leverages the foundation of fast-track surgery, helping optimize clinical processes, patient engagement, data collection and evaluation, strategy and marketing.

 

4. About 250 hospitals have initiated the Rapid Recovery program in Europe.
