X-spine Receives FDA Clearance for Spinal Implant System

X-spine has received FDA clearance for its Calix PC Spinal Implant System, according to a company news release.

The intervertebral body fusion system includes titanium coated PEEK spinal implants and utilizes a plasma coating process to selectively adhere a frictional titanium coating to the bone-apposing surfaces of the device. The coating improves resistance to device expulsion, demonstrating a 79 percent greater resistance to expulsion forces in laboratory tests.
