X-Bolt Orthopaedics receives U.S. patent for jig device in hip nailing system

X-Bolt Orthopaedics, an Ireland-based medical device company, received a U.S. patent for its alignment jig device used in its hip nailing system, according to a Business and Leadership report.

The jig is an integral part of the system, which aims to improve the efficiency of current hip fracture treatment, the report notes. It also aims to reduce the need for repeat surgery.

 

The U.S. patent will remain in force until Jan. 27, 2032.
