VB Spine entered a definitive agreement to acquire exclusive rights to Augmedics’ xvision spine system.

Xvision is an FDA-cleared AR navigation platform for spine surgeons, and the deal would poise VB Spine to become a leader in AR-enabled spine tech, according to a Feb. 16 news release.

“We have long admired the xvision technology and potential of the platform,” Marc Viscogliosi, co-CEO of VB Spine, said in the release. “We believe with our implant integration and scale, we have the ability to harness the true potential of AR navigation. Combined with the SpineHawk platform, this will expand our existing spine solutions and supports our long-term roadmap to redefine spine care with differentiated technologies.”

VB Spine has made steady inroads in spinal tech since it acquired Stryker’s U.S. spine portfolio in 2025. That sale launched VB Spine, and in January the company inked plans to buy the SpineHawk visualization platform from Robotron Surgical Technologies.
