United Orthopedic Corp. teams up with Dr. Freddy Achecar to offer TKR, THR to underserved in China: 4 notes

Irvine, Calif.-based United Orthopedic Corp. donated orthopedic devices to a Chinese hospital for total hip and knee replacements.

Here are four notes:

 

1. The receiving hospital is located in Hefei, China.

 

2. UOC also collaborated with Freddy Achecar Jr., MD, medical director of WellStar Douglas Hospital Center for Joint Replacement in Douglasville, Ga., to provide surgical services to patients in need.

 

3. Over a week, Dr. Achecar performed five hip replacements and two knee replacements in Hefei.

 

4. UOC supplies orthopedic implants to WellStar Douglas Hospital Center for Joint Replacement.
