The company reported a 15 percent increase in extremities sales, which represented 82 percent of reported global sales. However, the company’s U.S. sales underperformed in the lower extremities, sports medicine and biologics businesses.
Worldwide company and extremities growth can be attributed to the company’s new Aequalis Ascend shoulder arthroplasty system and the adoption of the Aequalis reverse shoulder arthroplasty system.
