Here are three things to know about the device and company:
1. The active robotic system consists of two technologies — the TPLAN 3D planning workstation and the TCAT computer-assisted tool.
2. The TPLAN 3D workstation helps surgeons with preoperative planning by creating a 3D model of the patient’s anatomy based on CT images. The surgeon then uses the TCAT computer-assisted tool and the patient’s preoperative plan to prepare the bone cavity and joint surface.
3. THINK Surgical develops, manufactures and markets a robotic, computer-assisted surgical system for orthopedic surgery. The company recently changed its name from Curexo Technology Corporation to THINK Surgical.
