The company’s second quarter revenue also indicates a 1.6 percent increase over the first quarter. The year-over-year revenue increase was driven by growth in the company’s Symmetry Surgical segment, partially offset by a decline in sales in the company’s OEM Solutions segment.
Symmetry Medical also reported operating income of $8.1 million, up 16 percent year-over-year and 21 percent sequentially. Net income for the second quarter was $1.6 million, down 19 percent year-over-year and up 56 percent sequentially.
