Seven things to know:
1. Net sales grew 10.7% increase year over year in the first quarter, according to a news release.
2. Orthopedic sales were $2.5 billion for the fourth quarter, a 10.8% increase year over year.
3. MedSurg and neurotechnology sales were $3.9 billion during the fourth quarter, a 10.6% increase year over year.
4. Stryker’s fourth quarter net earnings decreased 52.2% year over year with $500 million.
5. Stryker expects 2025 revenue to grow 8% to 9%.
6. Full year sales for 2024 were $22.6 billion, an increase of 10.2% compared to 2023. Full year net earnings of $3 billion represents a 5.4% decrease from 2023.
7. Stryker is planning to sell its U.S. spine implants business to an investment firm, the company said Jan. 28. The move also includes a binding offer to sell off Stryker’s spine implants business in France.
