Seven things to know:
1. Net sales increased 9.6% year-over-year, according to a news release.
2. The MedSurg and neurotechnology segment saw a 10.5% increase year-over-year with $2.9 billion in sales.
3. Orthopedic and spine sales grew 8.4% year-over-year with $2.1 billion in revenue.
4. Spine product sales rose 4.1% year-over-year with $291 million in revenue. Hip sales increased 4.5% with $362 million, and knee sales increased 7.1% with $515 million.
5. Trauma and extremity sales increased 11.9% year-over-year with $752 million in revenue.
6. Net earnings of $692 million fell 15.2% year-over-year during the third quarter.
7. Stryker expects its full-year sales to increase 10% to 10.5%.
