The acquisition will add to Stryker’s medical division and address the increasing need for hospitals to connect caregivers and disparate data-generating medical devices, according to a Jan. 6 news release from Stryker.
Vocera Communications, founded in 2000, provides clinical communication and workflow products. Nearly 1,900 hospitals and healthcare facilities use its software.
The acquisition is expected to close in the first quarter of this year.
