Stryker sells product line to 3T: 4 highlights

3T Medical Systems acquired Stryker’s ConstaVac CBCII product line, according to Crain’s Detroit Business. Details of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Here are four highlights:

1. 3T plans to begin manufacturing the disposable system used in operating rooms to collect blood during surgery later this summer.

2. Additionally, 3T plans to relocate from Puerto Rico to Michigan, building a clean room and manufacturing facility.

3. 3T is set to hire an additional 10 employees to manage the clean room. Currently, the medical device company has 25 employees.

4. The company expects ConstaVac’s 2017 $10 million revenue to decline slightly as 3T constructs its manufacturing plant.
