Stryker completes $3.1B acquisition of communications company

Stryker has completed its $3.1 billion acquisition of Vocera Communications, the devicemaker said Feb. 23.

The acquisition was announced in January, and Stryker purchased all of Vocera’s outstanding shares for $79.25 per share in cash. The deal is expected to have a neutral impact on Stryker’s net earnings per diluted share in 2022.

Vocera provides clinical communication and workflow products and is used in nearly 1,900 healthcare facilities. The acquisition aims to enhance Stryker’s digital healthcare business.
