Carlsbad, Calif.-based Carlsmed appointed Richard Heppenstall CFO, effective immediately.
Mr. Heppenstall brings nearly 30 years of experience across healthcare, life sciences and technology. He previously served as executive vice president, CFO and treasurer of ZimVie from September 2021 until its acquisition by ArchiMed SAS in October 2025, according to a Sept. 28 news release.
Mr. Heppenstall also served as CFO of Breg from April 2019 to September 2021 and as senior vice president of finance and treasury at Orthofix Medical from May 2015 to April 2019.
Carlsmed also reaffirmed its full-year revenue guidance of $74 million to $78 million, representing 50% growth over 2025 at the midpoint.
