Four things to know:
1. Stryker intends to use the imaging and robotic technologies of Mobius and Cardan to boost its presence in the spine, orthopedic and neurotechnology markets.
2. The acquisition grants Stryker’s spine division access to the intraoperative imaging sector and aligns with its navigation and implant portfolio.
3. Mobius’ Airo Mobile CT Imaging System, often used for neurospine surgical procedures, received FDA clearance for pediatric applications last year.
4. The acquisition is not anticipated to affect net earnings this year.
