The company will pay $150 million in a cash transaction and $12 million in additional payments. Memometal manufactures and develops products for extremity indications based on proprietary methods for preparing and manufacturing a shape memory metal alloy. The company’s 2010 sales equaled approximately $30 million.
Through the acquisition, Stryker will improve its presence in the extremities market.
