SpineAssist Clinical Study Show 98% Accuracy in Implant Placement

A multi-center retrospective study of spine surgery patients treated with Mazor’s SpineAssist were found to have accurate implant placement 98 percent of the time, according to a company news release.

The study was based on clinical experience from cases performed in 14 U.S., German and Israeli hospitals over a four-year period. Placement accuracy was assessed by intraoperative imaging and postoperative CT scans.

Overall, 3,271 pedicle screws and guide-wires were inserted into 635 patients, of which 98 percent were found clinically acceptable. None of the patients experienced long-term neurological deficits.
