Spine Wave Receives FDA Clearance for Lateral Approach Spine Device

Spine Wave, a Shelton, Conn.-based spine device company, received FDA clearance for its StaXx XDL expandable device, according to a Spine Wave news release.

The system is a new addition to the company’s family of PEEK spacers using its expandable technology. It is the company’s first device intended for use during the lateral surgical approach. The device has been used by surgeons internationally and is now cleared for marketing in the United States.
