The cervical and lumbar interbody spacers are made of PEEK thermoplastic. The devices are small hollow spinal implants that can be inserted into the intervertebral space, designed to restore physiological disc height and allow fusion between vertebral bodies. The devices also relieve pressure on the nerves.
SpinalVu is currently working in conjunction with Mosaic Medical Technologies on the development of these systems. These systems are expected to launch in the market during the first quarter of next year. The company is also developing a biologically augmented version of the X-wave system.
