Allevion Medical received 510(k) clearance from the FDA for its Vantage spinal decompression system.
Vantage is designed to simplify and enhance minimally invasive lumbar decompression procedures, helping surgeons increase consistency and efficiency, according to an April 3 news release from Allevion Medical.
The minimally invasive approach allows surgeons to remove hypertrophic bone from the lamina and facet joints that may contribute to spinal canal narrowing.
Vantage is a fully disposable, sterile system that does not require additional instruments or sterile processing, the release said.
At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
