South Korea’s Medyssey Receives FDA Clearance on Spinal System

Medyssey, a South Korea-based spinal implant manufacturer, received FDA 510k clearance for the Zenius Thoracolumbar Spinal System in titanium alloy, used for treating deformity and degenerative spinal pathologies, according to a company news release.

The Zenius system includes a 5.5 mm rod and thoracolumbar pedicle screw construct. The system utilizes the Dove Tail Joint set screw with a reverse trapezoid thread design and linear slot to increase holding force from the traditional screw set.
