Smith & Nephew Launches Suture Anchor for Rotator Cuff Repair

Smith & Nephew has launched the new HEALICOIL PK suture anchor worldwide, indicated for use during rotator cuff repair.

The suture anchor is designed to eliminate the anchor’s inner diameter material, which provides significantly more treated engagement and greater pull out strength. The design also contributes to less material being left in the shoulder, which can be particularly beneficial during double-row rotator cuff repair.

The device is made from PEEK-OPTIMA Polymer from Invibio.
