Smith & Nephew Acquires Brazilian Wound Care Company

Smith & Nephew has agreed to acquire Politec Saude, an advanced wound management company in Brazil for an undisclosed amount.

The orthopedic device manufacturer has an ongoing strategy of making acquisitions in emerging markets.

Earlier this year, Smith & Nephew also purchased a trauma business in India and a direct presence in Turkey.
