Silicon Nitrite May Be More Beneficial Than PEEK, Titanium

Research from Brown University suggests silicon nitrite biomaterial may be more beneficial than PEEK or titanium, according to an Amedica Corporation news release.

The research showed silicon nitrite is less vulnerable to bacterial colonization and demonstrates superior osteointegration than PEEK and titanium materials.

The research was published in the International Journal of Nanomedicine and Acta Biomaterialia.
