Shoulder Innovations says its technology provides a more stable setting for the glenoid portion of the total shoulder implant, which is at higher risk of failure than the other compartments of a total shoulder system, according to the report. Ascension Orthopedics, which was recently acquired by Integra LifeSciences, did not comment on the suit.
