SeaSpine hits 50K NanoMetalene implantations

SeaSpine’s NanoMetalene technology was implanted in its 50,000th case, the devicemaker said in a March 24 news release.

NanoMetalene is a surface technology for interbody implants. It uses a thin layer of titanium bonded to a PEEK implant and is designed to provide a bone-friendly surface with full coverage, the release said. 

NanoMetalene received FDA clearance in 2020.
