Saluda Medical spinal cord stimulator approved by FDA

Saluda Medical’s Evoke spinal cord stimulator received FDA approval for treating chronic intractable pain, the devicemaker said in a March 8 news release.

Evolve is a closed-loop system designed for pain in the trunk and/or limbs. It’s the first available spinal cord stimulator that can instantaneously read, record and respond to evoked compound action potentials, according to the release.

Saluda Medical plans a limited release of Evoke in the second half of 2022 and a full commercial launch in 2023.
