Safe Orthopaedics sells 20,000th surgical kit, prepares to launch spine implant

Safe Orthopaedics reached two milestones, one in sales and another in its progress with its Sycamore spine implant.

The medtech company sold its 20,000th surgical instrument kit globally, according to a Nov. 25 news release. Safe Orthopaedics’ Sycamore implant for vertebral compression fracture treatment is also concluding its evaluation phase.

With Sycamore’s successful evaluation phase winding down, the company is expected to launch the device in select markets in early 2022, according to the release.
