Sacroiliac joint fixation system gets additional FDA approval

Life Spine’s sacroiliac joint fixation system, SImpact, received FDA clearance for posterior-oblique surgical approaches, the devicemaker said March 29.

The system is also approved for a direct lateral surgical approach, according to a news release. SImpact has three screws and a self-drilling and self-harvesting screw design.

In 2020, SImpact was cleared to include a 14.5mm screw to its system to help with revision surgeries.
