The navigation access system is designed to help surgeons locate, access and prepare facet joints for posterior spinal fusions, Providence Medical Technology said in a June 13 news release. It can be used with the Corus spinal system.

“The newly released CORUS navigation system offers simplicity and accuracy for placement of CAVUX FFS-LX implants and provides the surgeon with a truly minimally invasive approach for posterior fusion, with a wide array of indications, including advanced disc degeneration and adjacent segment disease,” spine surgeon Bryan Lee, MD, said in the release.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
