Life Spine settled its litigation agianst Aegis Spine and secured a court order permanently prohibiting marketing or sales of AccelFix-XT devices in the U.S., according to a Dec. 21 news release.

Ulrich Medica USA earned FDA clearance to expand indications for its Momemtum and Momentum minimally invasive posterior spine systems, the company said Dec. 20.

ZimVie is selling its spine business to HIG Capital for $375 million. 

There have been several spine and orthopedic legal disputes involving device patents in the last two years. Some have involved different companies, and others have involved surgeons.

Premia Spine's TOPS System is now available at Veterns Affairs hospitals across the U.S., the devicemaker said Dec. 15.

The Food and Drug Administration cleared more than 200 spine-related devices and technologies with 510(k) approval in 2023.

ZimVie's Vital spinal fixation system was FDA cleared for use with Brainlab's spine and trauma navigation, according to a Dec. 12 news release.

Orthofix named three independent directors to its board, the devicemaker said Dec. 12.

Spinal Simplicity's Liberty-SI Lateral implant system earned FDA 510(k) clearance, the devicemaker said Dec. 11.
