1. The system offers several multiple-trajectory locking options, including the micromotion for controlled axial movement with torsional stability to promote callus formation. Additional locking options include recon and rigid interlocking for unstable proximal femoral fractures.
2. Surgeons can implant the Apex Femoral Nailing System in antegrade and retrograde orientations as a universal nail for left and right legs.
3. The system received FDA 510(k) clearance earlier this year.
