After gathering insight from several orthopedic surgeons and experts at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons annual meeting, analysts confirmed their notion of a largely stabilized orthopedics market with the potential for single-digit growth. The report mentioned some surgeons seeing an increase in backlog of surgeries, potentially due to the demographic shift of baby boomers and obesity, but others reported their patient volume was still lower than a few years ago.
