Orthopedic Product Sales Exceed $43B in 2012

In 2012, orthopedic product sales exceeded $43 billion, an increase of $1.2 billion from 2011, according to ORTHOWORLD‘s orthopedic industry annual report.

According to the report, the following segments contributed the greatest growth:

•    Trauma — $6.1 billion
•    Sports medicine — $4.2 billion

The spine segment, on the other hand, posted negative growth.
