Orthofix’s Q1 revenue grows 3%

Orthofix saw sales increases in the first quarter of 2026, according to financial results posted May 5.

Six things to know:

1. Quarterly sales excluding the discontinued M6 disc was $196.4 million, a 3% increase year over year.

2. Spinal fixation sales were $163 million, a 2.6% increase year over year, and limb reconstruction sales were $32.8 million, a 10.2% jump.

3. Therapeutic solutions saw $57.8 million, a 4.9% increase, and spinal implants, biologics and enabling technology saw 1 1.4% uptick with $105.8 million.

4. Orthofix saw a net loss of $20.9 million, down from a net loss of $53.1 million in the same period last year.

5. Orthofix expects 2026 net sales to range between $850 million to $860 million.

6. “Our first-quarter results reflect steady execution as we complete key spine commercial channel actions and sharpen our strategic focus,” Massimo Calafiore, president and CEO, said in a news release. “While the quarter continued to absorb the impact of these transitions, most notably in biologics, we saw improved commercial focus and operating discipline as the quarter progressed. Importantly, distributor transitions are now largely behind us, providing greater visibility for the remainder of the year. As we move through 2026, our priorities are clear: driving more consistent commercial execution, advancing targeted innovation across our portfolio, and expanding margins through disciplined operational management.”
