Orchid Orthopedic Solutions names Nate Folkert as new CEO

Holt, Mich.-based medical device company Orchid Orthopedic Solutions announced Nate Folkert will replace Jerry Jurkiewicz as CEO in an Oct. 12 press release.

Mr. Folkert has 20 years of experience in the medical device industry and last served as vice president and general manager for ConMed’s orthopedics business, the release said. Mr. Folkert also worked as president of Warsaw, Ind.-based Zimmer’s trauma division and was a helicopter pilot in the U.S. Army.

“I am incredibly excited to lead Orchid as the company enters a new chapter in its growth,” Mr. Folkert said in a statement. “Orchid has emerged as a leading supplier in this fragmented market, and I look forward to continuing to build on the significant progress made to date on building the company into a global operationally excellent manufacturing platform. Orchid has a long runway ahead as it focuses on partnering with customers to help them win in the market.”
